Psalm 22:19-28

Proper 7 (12) - Year C

Psalm 22:19-28 or Psalm 42 and 43

Why are you cast down, O my soul? Let me count the ways.

Hope in God. What's the option?

The poverty of the poor is still noticeable.

When dealt with, instead of noticed, it will bring forth praise.

This will be the turning point wherein the ends of the earth shall remember, and be glad.

Psalm 22:19-28 or Psalms 42 & 43

What do you remember when you pour out your soul?

Is it the process of thanks? How about existing on tears?

As you think and feel your way through your typical or first response to new occasion of life, there is soul work at work. One of our tasks is to make it as conscious as we can, even knowing that there will always be some dimness to our vision.

"By day the Lord
commands the Lord's
steadfast love,
at night the Lord's song
is with me -
a prayer
to the God of my life"

songs become prayer
Lord sings
I sing
God sings
wrapping songs in prayer
